REBUILDING THE D-JET AUXILIARY AIR REGULATOR

Is your warm idle high? Maybe the Auxiliary Air Regulator (AAR) is kaput. The AAR allows more air into the engine when the engine is cold until it comes up to full operating temperature, then it closes down. As with all aging parts, the valve inside the air regulator can get stuck in the open position causing a high idle issue. Rebuilding it isn't difficult. Ian Karr's going to show you how to fix it! This unit is used on D-Jet engines, but the principle is the same for the one used with L-Jet.
