PORSCHE 914 VW TYPE IV 2056 REBUILD - PUSHROD TUBES, COOLING, ALTERNATOR, & MORE

In his Bumblebee restoration, Episode 23, Ian Karr continues his 914 engine rebuild. It's part 7 of his VW Type IV 2056 engine build, where he pops in the pushrod tubes, finishes the oil system, puts on the cooling tins and installs the alternator / belt. With the tins off, you can see how the cooling flaps work and why they're such an important part of the engine's design. Also, if you need to replace your alternator and/or belt, you'll have a clear idea of what's involved. You can view all the episodes on in the VW Type IV Rebuild Playlist on Ian's YouTube channel.

Check the parts list in the video explanation or go to 914Rubber.com and search for parts including Allen / socket head bolts for engine tins, the oil cooler tin seal, oil cooler seals, and the oil sump gasket set with crush washer.
