WINDOW TO DASH SEAL-COSMETIC STRIP
Our windshield to dash seal is designed specifically so you didn't have to remove the dash (or windshield). The OEM has a metal clip that rusts as well as can't be pushed on the seam without having one of the two out. Our is a zero clearance seal. In other words the way it's made it will put pressure on the seal as it's wanting to return to the “closed” shape. Same idea as the metal only with the rubber.
To install, cut one corner to the shape of the pillar (a notch in) so that when pressed it is about the shape as the contour. Then cut about 1/4“ longer than you think you need and cut the contour in the opposite side. To install put both corners in and work toward the center. It may take a few shots at trimming but eventually it will press in. It will actually “over center” and the pressure will push the seal down. This is why we started longer. New reproduction of the seal that covers the gap between the windshield and dash pad vinyl. This part has been made out of a stiffer material which does not require a steel internal structure to stay in place. This can be installed without removing the windshield.
Used for all 914 model years, 1 required per car.
